Well, Nagr is just the answer to all these aforementioned questions and much more.

Nagr is built upon the fundamental idea of bringing to you content that is highly relevant, significant, and makes a difference to individuals residing in a particular area.

Nagr is a social media application that primarily encompasses three main features:

- Social
- Nagrik


These aforementioned features are a part of our community-building exercise with the primary focus being laid out on things related to you and your neighbourhood.

Your neighbourhood news: Through this feature of the app we intend on amassing citizens of the respective localities and reporting news items that are relevant to them. The news featurettes are local, with the prime focus on events and incidents transpiring within the vicinity of your home location.

Citizen journalism: Journalism is all about reporting the truth. Truth has different viewpoints and interpretations. Through Nagr, we hope to accommodate all the viewpoints and interpretations from different sources, which is why we are promoting ‘Citizen Journalism’. Through this every citizen gets an opportunity to report their stories in ways they deem fit.


Your Social Network: The social feature helps individuals of the respective localities express themselves before their folk. Through this feature we intend to proliferate the sense of familiarity amongst people residing in the same area; and it also gives them a chance to get to know one another in better ways.

Your Neighbours: The Nagrik feature is one that is extremely important and exciting too. Despite staying in close-gated societies today, especially in the suburbs, the sense of togetherness has somewhat diminished. The idea of neighbours and a functional neighbourhood is gradually losing its purpose. We reckoned its time to replenish this purpose, which is why through Nagr we propose to build a platform for you to connect with your neighbours without having to ring their doorbell. Nagr not only allows you to connect with the ones near you, but also makes you aware of the abundant sources of aid available in your neighbourhood.
